1.      Call to order     

The Planning Commission meeting was called to order by Chairman, Lee Riechel at 2:04 pm .  

2.      Roll call  

Roll Call was taken by Planning Chairman Lee Riechel.  

Present: Planning Chairman Lee Riechel, Vice-Chairman George Burke, Commissioner Darlene Beckman Commissioner Paul Gargis and Commissioner Norman Martin.  

Absent: Commissioner Ken Henderson (excused).  

Others Present:  Road Commission Vice-Chair Jerry Curran, City Recorder
Fred Hilden and Marv Beckman.  

3.      Pledge of Allegiance  

All who were present stood for the Pledge of Allegiance.  

4.      Approval of the Agenda  

Commissioner Beckman made a motion to approve the Agenda as presented.
Commissioner Burke seconded the motion. The motion passed by unanimous vote.  

5.      Consent Agenda  

Commissioner Burke made a motion to approve the minutes of August 16, 2011 on the Consent Agenda as presented. Commissioner Beckman seconded the motion. The motion passed by unanimous vote.  

6.      Announcements / Correspondence – None  

·        Chairman Riechel asked about the status of Administrative Assistant Haley Nelson. City Recorder Fred Hilden explained that Haley had requested to withdraw her resignation. Chairman Riechel expressed his sincere happiness with the news that Ms. Nelson was going to remain with the City.  

·        Chairman Riechel announced that the Planning Commission would be reviewing a Shoreland Vegetation and Tree Removal permit application at the September 22, 2011 Planning Commission meeting.  

·        City Recorder Fred Hilden announced that it is likely that the septic ordinances being considered by the City Council will be on the agenda for the October 27, 2011 Planning Commission meeting.

9.      Unfinished/Old Business  

·        Continuation of Chapter 155.2 Code Revision Review. The review began at the beginning of Chapter 155.2.3.100 and stopped at the end of Chapter 155.2.3.200.

11.  Unscheduled Items Not Listed on the Agenda – None  

12. Adjournment  

There being no further business to come before the Planning Commission, Commissioner Burke made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Beckman seconded the
motion. The motion passed by unanimous vote.  

Planning Chairman Lee Riechel adjourned the meeting of the Planning Commission at 7:02 pm .
