WHEREAS, Resolution No. 06-10-99 established a Site Review Committee, and  

WHEREAS, the Dunes City Council wishes to give the Site Review Committee the same status as other standing committees recognized in the Dunes City Code of Ordinances.  

THE CITY OF DUNES CITY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:  

Section 1.        Chapter 32 of the Dunes City Code is amended by adding the following sections:  

32.80   ESTABLISHED.  

A Site Review Committee is hereby reestablished by ordinance for Dunes City to preserve the quality of living for the health, safety and welfare of its citizens.  

32.81  PURPOSE.  

The purpose of the Site Review Committee shall be to investigate citizen complaints on eyesore infractions, nuisance ordinances infractions and general zoning code violations other than shoreland related complaints.  

32.82   MEMBERS.           

The committee shall consist of three citizen members and one City Councilor appointed by the Council. Not more than one citizen member may be a current Planning Commissioner.   

32.83   TERMS OF OFFICE.  

A member of the Site Review Committee shall serve for a three–year term, ending December 31^st, except that the initial appointments to the Committee shall be staggered so that no more than two appointments end in the same calendar year.  Vacancies shall be filled by council appointments for the remainder of the unexpired term of the predecessors in office.  

32.84  DUTIES.   

It shall be the charge of the Site Review Committee to investigate citizen complaints on land usage, eyesore and nuisance violations other than shoreland–related complaints.  Investigate eyesore and nuisance complaints.  The Committee may take site visits to review complaints and to contact property owners and complainants.  The Site Review Committee shall work with the City Recorder and the City Council on corrective actions.
